Elana Gainor is a Ph.D. candidate in the UC Merced World Cultures Graduate Group with expertise in Latin American literature, travel narratives, and cultural geography. She will file her dissertation, "The Space of Cuban American Exile Narratives: Places, Maps and Wayfinding," in 2014.
